Kickin' It In The Country

Saturday afternoon we went to a Labor Day party in the good ol' country town of Kaufman. Nathan's best bud David's brother Michael lives out there and invited everyone out to eat good food and hang out. It was really a beautiful afternoon. It was hot but there was a good breeze and the peaceful quiet of the country is always welcome in my book! Michael and his wife Amanda live on a lot of land with a pond, dogs, four wheelers and a ginormous new metal building that they call the "shop". It holds the tractor, four wheeler and other things and is a good place for having parties and get togethers. The kids had a blast riding the four wheeler, blowing bubbles, playing in the dirt and running around and screaming without being told to "KEEP IT DOWN!" Hahaha. Basically they had a blast just being kids. The boys had fun shooting skeet and playing washers and the girls had fun talking. We ate these huge seasoned shrimp and red potatoes that Michael I guess boiled or steamed or something, corn on the cob and other goodies. I especially liked swinging on the comfy porch swing. Loren (David's daughter) on the other 4 wheeler. Chandler sprayed Loren with the water hose soaking her dress so she had to wear her Aunt Amanda's tank top while her dress dried!
These girls are BFF, it's so cute watching them play together and get bigger. Loren's little eyes are always shut when she takes pictures!
