Calling All Girls...NOT

My sister suggested that I protect Ashley's privacy and cover up the last 4 digits of the #

I found this in Chandler's backpack before Thanksgiving break. I pulled it out and was a little confused but slowly I started to understand. I asked Chandler what it was and he said it was Ashley's phone number. I asked him why it was in his backpack and he casually replied, "Ashley wanted me to call her I guess." Then he shrugged his shoulders and walked off. (good boy!) So I asked him if Ashley gave him the piece of paper and he said she did. I casually told him that he wasn't allowed to call girls until he was ready to get married but he didn't care. (good boy!) He went back to his Xbox and was happy.

THEN today I was eating lunch with Chandler at school when one of the 1st or 2nd grade classes came through the lunch room and passed our table to get in the lunch line. A little girl in this 1st or 2nd grade class looks at my son and says, "Hi Chandler." I asked him who this older woman was (I didn't really say 'older woman' I just said 'that girl') and he tells me that it is ASHLEY'S sister! I asked him how she knew who Chandler was and he says that he guesses Ashley told her. I casually asked him if he has ever seen Ashley's sister anywhere else and he says no which leads me to believe that Ashley must be talking about my son to her sister outside of school! Kindergarten Ashley is a little advanced don't you think?!? Am I going to have to start beating the girls off my handsome son with sticks already? ;) So I told Chandler that I think Ashley might have a crush on him and he yelled MOM don't say that ever again! Then he punched my arm and went back to eating his cheese stick. GOOD BOY. :)

I loved reading this! And how you dealt with it was perfect :) I can't believe he's only in Kindergarten and girls are handing out their numbers. I think I was scared of boys at that age. He is a good boy!

So cute! I love how he's not even entertaining the thought that she has a crush on him.

That's so hilarious! I'd blur out Ashley's last 4 digits though, you don't want some creepy man to blog hop to yours, find her number, and call her up. Yikes!

This is one of your funniest post ever. I can't believe that girl is like stalking him down. Too crazy. Puppy love is starting earlier than I remember it did when I was in school. Sounds like you've got a heart breaker on your hands. Good luck until he leaves for college ;)
