Not What I Expected

A funny story: the kids and I went summer clothes and shoes shopping at the Galleria a few weeks back. After we ate dinner I noticed that there was an Orange Cup open on the lower level. Having read about this place on Taryn's blog and maybe my sister's too I thought that we should try it since I had heard great things. I walked up to the counter and ordered 3 small yogurts with various toppings on each. I was getting so excited as I paid for our treat and I couldn't wait to taste it. We ventured over to the tables near the ice rink and sat down. Kennedy had her own cup, Chandler his own and I had mine. I took one bite of my yogurt and instantly I knew that this was not the frozen yogurt I had been expecting. It wasn't what my kids had been expecting either. After I grimaced at the taste I looked over to see Chandler making the EXACT same face as me. About 2 seconds later I look down the table at Kennedy right as she yells out, "Mommy, this tastes YUCKY!" I couldn't help it and I burst out laughing. We were totally expecting for this to taste like ice cream like at TCBY or something! The kids were definitely surprised since I didn't actually tell them it wasn't ice cream! I am not at all a fan of yogurt and this tasted literally like frozen yogurt. Even the blueberries or mini chocolate chips couldn't make it any better. I ended up feeding it all to Will, who is our family's human garbage disposal. He thought it was fantastic. Hahahahaha, makes me laugh again just thinking of it. Next time we'll just stick to Blue Bell and forget trying to be healthy!
