What's On My Phone this Linky Tuesday?

It's the best day of the week friends!  Linky Tuesday!  Wanna play too?  Then load your pics, blog 'em and link up.  Click down there for the fine print.

Ready?  Set?  GOOOOOO!

My Will loves monkeys.  He is like a monkey because he looooves to swing and climb aaaand he hearts bananas.  But I've had to limit his banana intake because they make him consitpated.  And you don't want to know what happens when this kid can't poo.  It's not pretty for his mother.  Boy, that was a tangent of sorts wasn't it?  Anyway, my kid loves monkeys and likes to sleep with all of his monkey friends.  And Mr. Happy.  Cutest thing you've ever seen?  Yes.

While we were stuck inside last week during the "ICE STORM 2011" as dubbed by our local weather men, we worked on homework.  Kennedy enjoys homework.  But she's only in kindergarten.  Pretty soon she'll hate it like my other kid.
Being stuck inside for 547 days is not fun for everyone so we had to get creative.  We played super heroes...
...and ate bean dip and Dr Pepper...
...i watched my inbox fill up with emails for people saying they didn't have heat...
we couldn't drive to help them all in one day...and nobody was understanding of that.  geez.  it's not like it was freezing or anything.
...i caught my big boy sweetly reading to my little boy and it put a smile on my face.
then i caught my little boy reading quietly to himself which put another smile across my face.

i watched my big boy do mundane things like wash his hands and i was sad that he isn't a baby who needs my help anymore.
being stuck inside for 982 days can make one kind of emotional

my husband so bravely risked his life and walked 25 miles up a hill in the snow one way with no shoes on so we could stock up on important necessities like this.  what a guy.
we made Valentines for our loves

will looked at the snow but never went outside in it.  he's not a fan.
i made blueberry muffins for a warm and cozy snow day breakfast...
...and took a wintry kind of walk.  is she on the road or the sidewalk?  who knows!  we can't see the road!  those cars might be parked in someone's yard for all we know!

we had some friends come over and i made them all snow ice cream.  YUM.

and finally on Saturday we busted out and said, "NO MORE OLD MAN WINTER.  NO.  MORE.  We're going to Chuck E Cheese to PARTY!"  So we did.  We got all fancied up and went to Chuck E Cheese for not ONE birthday party.  But TWO.  In the SAME.  DAY.  BACK.  TO.  BACK.  I was a tad bit cranky after that...
...i looked like this after 4.5 hours of CEC mania.  This picture would also best describe my feelings after my son locked us out of our running vehicle.  Thank goodness for Onstar!

Whatchu got on your phone this linky Tuesday?
Jessica wants to know!  Go link up friends!

This past weekend I headed south to attend a photography workshop with the awesome Austin photog, Kristen Duke.  I was SUPER excited already but even more excited when I found out that my dear friend Caroline was going too.  I've known Caroline for many years now and I can't say enough nice things about her.  She is the sweetest, kindest, most sincere person I've probably ever known in my life and on top of that she's an awesome mom.  She will never know how her Christlike example has impacted my life time and time again.  Even from so far away.  I love this girl to bits and I was so thankful to get to spend some time with her, even if it were only for a little while.  THANK YOU ASAY's for being so hospitable and taking good care of me!

The workshop was awesome too.  I really felt like I was able to get a better grasp on using my camera to it's fullest potential.  I enjoyed the small group of girls and the cozy and comfortable setting. (in Kristen's house) I only wished it didn't end so soon!  I love, love, love photography and I could sit and talk about it for DAYS.

After the instruction portion of the workshop was over we walked to an open field just down the street and practiced on each other.

Yay for an awesome weekend!  Now, just enjoy the pictures. :)

These were our practice pics.  Not too bad, eh?

Sweet Bella.  I practiced on Caroline and Mike's girls after the workshop.

And cutie Savannah

What's on Kristi's Phone-Linky linky bo binky banana fana fo finky...

Hooray for linky Tuesdays.  Hooray for ICY Texas Tuesdays where everyone gets scared to drive on the roads so we get a reprieve from the daily grind to just do a bunch of nothingness.  Or, you might be like me, in which case you will be doing 896 loads of laundry on this icy Texas Tuesday.

Don't know what we're doing here?  Go click on the word linky above to find out.  Then play along!  And don't forget to linkup to Jessica when you're done.  Let's get this show on the road.

we heart cereal round these parts.  like heart times a bajillion.  especially for afternoon snacks.

Chandler thinks he's a ninja.  He was about to go all bruce lee on his homework.  oh.  bruce lee wasn't a ninja was he?  or maybe he was.  i dunno...

we have an attack dino on sight.  don't even THINK about coming up in here to take our crap.  you WILL be sorry.
Guess the guy workin' the drive thru was thirsty...cause my drink is missin' a few ounces on the top.  Ugh.
only 895 loads left to do...
this is my biggest boy.  i love him so much.  i feel badly because i'm so hard on him and i feel like he hates me most of the time.  he's a sweet, smart, talented, happy, funny boy and i hope he knows how much i love him.  i snuck into his bed last night before he fell asleep and had a moment with him.  i rubbed his face like i did when he was a baby.  it made me sad.  it made me want another baby.  so then i had to leave this big boy and go watch the bachelor with my friends to get my mind off of wanting another little bambino.
this is my sweetest friend caroline.  she lives down near austin.  i went to her place last weekend and we went to a photography workshop together.  it was seriously fun times.
THIS is my home away from home.  my 5th love after my children and husband.  my best friend when the rest of the world seems cruel and unfriendly.  i love you target.  thank you for many great years together.
one day last week i came home craving some milk and cookies.  i could have SWORN we had at least a gallon in the fridge.  but i was wrong.  sooooo wrong.  and then i was soooo mad.
getting the mail is will's favorite thing.  ever.  he's his mama's boy.
like my artsy pic?  that's talent right there.  who buys a car that color?  he had a green monkey hangin' from the rearview mirror to match his car.  hmmm...

NOW GO LINKUP FOOL!  You know you want to!

What's on Kristis Phone 1/25/11

What day is it, folks?  TUESDAY!  Time for What's On Krist's Phone linky party day!  If you don't know what this is, then go here to check it out.

Ready to play?  I thought so.
Today, I thought I was enjoying a nice quiet lunch with friends and our kids.  Not so, folks, not so.  We caught glimpse of a creeper staring our direction for over an hour.  He's there, in that picture below.  From behind.  In the black jacket.  You can barely see him but he's there.  Chester left approx 15 minutes before I did but yet I see him at the store over 40 minutes later just wandering the aisles.  Creepy times a million.

My youngest babe enjoying sleeping in on this sunny January morning.  Why are little ones so stinkin' cute when they're sleeping?

After that precious sleepy babe woke up he wanted to shower me with kisses and have me take pictures of us.  Of course I said yes.  He would look at the camera and right before I took the picture kiss my cheek.  Is there anything more adorable?  I think not.

Me and the hubs are enjoying life as the self-employed.  Well, sometimes we enjoy it.  Other times it sucks because we're poor and stressed and poor and stressed.  I firmly believe that obeying the commandments as set forth by our Heavenly Father will provide you with blessings of all kinds.  This week, we happened to be blessed with this:

Sorry, it loaded sideways.

I was also blessed with this, this week.  We always collect change [specifically for our poor times] but this go round I had no idea I'd get that much moo-la.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.
This is Superman.  Duh.  I've had this bank since I was a goofy teen and had a huge obsession with all things Superman.  When I carry this bank into my local Kroger, where the more financially secure community members shop I obviously feel super embarrassed.  Why not put all my change in a plastic bag, you ask?  Because my brain just doesn't work like that.  My brain is not capable of coming up with simple solutions to tasks, both easy and complex.  So there.  That's why.  Anyway, I'm really embarrassed to take this Superman bank into the store, so I tell myself that I'm changing the coins in for my son who is at school and made me promise to do it while he was gone.  I put on my most confident face, stare straight ahead and in I go.  And come out $154 richer. :)

My oldest child is a natural athlete.  It's his God-given talent.  It's fun to watch him play any sport and excel at it.  He dreams of being a pro basketball or football player someday.  He makes me so proud.  I know this kid is destined for great things, no matter what he chooses to do.  That's him, down there.  #6.  Getting ready to shoot the ball and score a goal.  After which the psychotic coach on the other team will scream out, "DON'T YOU LET THAT CLOWN SCORE AGAIN YOU HEAR ME?!?"  That's correct.  A grown man called my 2nd grade child a CLOWN.  All because he scored one basket.  Some people take their sports a little too seriously.

I love lotion.  It makes me happy.  I like to have a wide variety of it.  My current fave is the BBW lemon vanilla.  It smells like Easter candy.  I wish I'd bought more of it when it was 75% off.  Don't you hate when that happens?

Last night I had big, huge, nasty mess on my hands.  One kid clogged the toilet.  The other kid flushed it over and over again (I assume) until it was overflowing and flooded my bathroom...
...then the water decied it would take a trip under/through the walls into my kitchen and out my dishwasher...and out on the other side of the dining room to soak the carpet there.  Just how I wanted to spend my Monday night.
My tv has been taken over by a trillion bubbles of light.  Apparently this is common among this Samsung model (which at this time I don't know what model that is to tell you NOT to buy it).  We are hoping to find a solution to this problem...
...and lastly...and boy am I tired...I love clementines.  Mmmm good.

Now it's your turn!  Go link up!
