Soccer Awards Night

One reason why I've been slow to blog more often is because it takes for-ev-er to upload pics from my new camera. I guess because it's a better camera it takes longer but I can only do 2 at at time and it is so slow. Anyway...
Last night was Chandler's award ceremony for soccer. Let me explain first a little about Lake Pointe church. It's this GINORMOUS church in Rockwall...the kind with the huge room that looks like an amphitheatre with jumbo trons so that you can see the preacher. It seats like 10,000 people!(okay not really!)
Anyway so at the beginning all the teams go outside the big room (honestly I do'nt know what they call it at that church) and they come back in through all different doors. They have these announcer guys who sound like football commentators calling in the teams. They put a spotlight on the door and the kids run in yelling and pumping their fists like they're celebrities. It's really cute. After all the teams are seated some type of entertainer will come on stage and do a little show and then give a short religious message about getting to know Christ. After that the coaches pass out the awards and we all go home. Last fall Chandler got a trophy but this year they gave them duffle bags. They only do an award ceremony after the fall season is over. After the spring sports season is over, Lake Pointe rents out Hawaiian Falls in Garland and everyone goes there for a family fun night. I was a little dissapointed that they chose to give out duffle bags instead of trophies simply because they don't get anything in the spring, but it's all good. Chandler didn't seem to care either way. Here are some cute pictures from the night.
Waiting for the program to begin
Chandler, Liam, Colton and Brooks...Chandler isn't really choking Liam by the way ;)

Soccer stars!

This is the entertainment...can't remember his name. That poor kid on top of his shoulders was scared to death!

Juggling flame torches
Eating fireOn the big stage flexing their muscles

Muscle flexing went on for a good 5 minutes. Boys...I love 'em :)

With his award

Ok gift cards are great but now I'm stressing over how much. I'm telling you, you have NO Idea how stressful gift giving is to me. I over think it way to much, but can't help. This week seems so sad not seeing you guys. :(
